Lavalier for seated conversation — it disappears. Handheld for street interviews and events, where you need to move the microphone between people.
How do I record two people on one phone?

What about wind outdoors?
Always use the supplied windshield. Wind noise is one of the very few problems that genuinely cannot be repaired in editing.
