We sell the gear we would use ourselves
Plokama BD is a small creator-equipment shop in Paribag, Dhaka. We stock lights, tripods, microphones and mobile tools, and we help people choose between them — which is most of the job.
Why we exist
Bangladesh has an enormous number of people making video every day — sellers going live from a shop counter, teachers running classes from a bedroom, students building an audience on reels. Almost all of them are working from a phone, and almost all of them hit the same three walls: the light is bad, the phone will not stay still, and the sound is full of room.
Those problems are solved by inexpensive equipment that is genuinely hard to buy well here. There are plenty of listings; there is very little honest advice about which one you actually need.
How we work
We keep stock in Paribag rather than ordering in after you pay, so when a product page says it is available, it is on a shelf a few kilometres from you.
We answer WhatsApp ourselves, at any hour, and we will tell you not to buy something if we think it is the wrong item. A returned order costs us more than a lost sale, and a customer who bought the wrong thing does not come back.
What we sell, and what we do not
Everything on this site is Plokama-branded equipment that we import and stock. We do not list products we cannot supply, and we do not pad the catalogue with items we have never handled.
Where a product has a limitation, we say so on its page. The WM-1 is an adapter, not a microphone. A ring light is wrong for glossy products. A gimbal is unnecessary if you shoot from a stand. That kind of thing is worth more to you than another paragraph of marketing.
Where to find us
Motalib 1205 Plaza, 3rd Floor, Shop 469, Paribag, Dhaka. Come and look at something before you buy it if you are nearby — most of the frustration in this category comes from buying blind.
